The Seasons of Sangria

The wonderful flavors of the seasons meld beautifully in these unique sangria recipes.

Winter Pomegranate Burgundy Sangria

Ingredients

  • 1 (750-ml) Burgundy wine
  • 1 cup (235 ml) Vodka and Pomegranate Juice
  • Add orange slices, clover nibs, pomegranate seeds, and cinnamon stick
  • Try serving hot with a cranberry orange scone.

Directions

Stir burgundy wine, pomegranate juice and vodka in a pitcher, then add fruit and spices. Refrigerate at least 20 minutes or overnight for a stronger taste. Just before serving, add fresh pomegranate seeds.

Spring Apple, Pear, Cherry Blossom — 2 Carafes

Ingredients

  • 1 (750-ml) House Chardonnay or Chablis
  • 1 cup (235 ml) Dekuyper Sour Apple Pucker
  • Sliced Apples and Pears
  • Maraschino cherry juice
  • Sparking water, optional

Directions

Stir white wine, and apple pucker in a pitcher, and then add apples and pears. Refrigerate at least 20 minutes or overnight. Just before serving, add maraschino cherries and, if desired, sparkling water.

Summer's Peach Nectar Sangria

Ingredients

  • 1 (750-ml) dry white wine like Sauvignon Blanc or any dry white
  • 1 cup (235 ml) Grand Marnier
  • 1 (12-ounce) can peach nectar, chilled
  • 2 peaches, pits removed and sliced
  • Sparking water, optional

Directions

Stir white wine, Grand Marnier and peach nectar in a pitcher, and then add peaches. Refrigerate at least 20 minutes or overnight. Just before serving, add a slice of peach.

Fall Cranberry Apple Burgundy Sangria

Ingredients

  • 1 (750-ml) Burgundy wine
  • 1 cup (235 ml) Apple Brandy and Pomegranate Juice
  • Add apple wedges, fresh cranberries, a dash of pumpkin pie spice
  • Try serving hot with apple cobbler.

Directions

Stir burgundy wine, apple brandy and pumpkin spice in a pitcher, then add fruit. Refrigerate at least 20 minutes or overnight for a stronger taste. Just before serving, add fresh apple garnish.
