In the early days of Stroudsmoor, the Pirone Family thought it would be a blessing to share the holidays surrounded by family and friends, so on a cold Winter’s day in early December of 1988 the first tree lighting at the Inn was celebrated. Surrounded by 30 members of the Pirone Family, a 15′ tree was lit and songs were sung. Dinner followed and the tradition began . . .
The next year, the lighting day was open to all our guests, and now the tree is 70′ tall and we celebrate with over 1500 guests each year. Our blessings have grown in many ways and we are thankful everyday for the support of family, friends and our community.
Join us this year on December 2nd for the lighting of the Stroudsmoor Mountain. See details of our annual tree lighting here.
