"I am so happy we chose Stroudsmoor. Everyone is so helpful! I am a very indecisive person and I get stressed out easily so I loved having a planner. They told me what I needed to do, when it needed to by done by, and it forced me to make decisions and get stuff done. I would have never had such a beautiful wedding day without them."

Michael and I met on a blind date, introduced by a friend, at a ball game.
Michael and I went to the same school growing up as kids. I always liked him because he was always thoughtful, calm and kind to everyone. He was always well liked by all, even as kids. Once we got to high school we had more classes together and because our last names start with “A” he was always in front of me. I was more scholastic than he was and I liked him so I would help him with schoolwork and give him the answers. I thought one day to myself in high school, “I could see myself marrying him” just because he was such a great person, but I never thought he would like me because I perceived him as very popular. We started to hang out with the same people and we were pretty good friends. His one friend convinced him to ask me to prom (Michael said he didn’t think I would want to go with him.) So he asked me to prom, and I was very excited. Of course, he won Prom King! Eventually, our true feelings came out and we gave it a shot and here we are. I don’t know if there is a specific moment that made me fall in love with him. I just always respected him and his opinions. I thought we had the same morals and values and I always loved how caring and thoughtful he was. I think I starting falling in love with him as a kid and it just got stronger.
I always wanted to go to Boston, because it seemed like such a pretty city. He surprised me with a last minute trip to Boston. We went to a Red Sox game at Fenway (even though we are strong Phillies fans…when in Boston). Before we went into the game, he proposed. We watch Game of Thrones and are obsessed, so he jokingly said, “I am going to bend the knee.” Any game of thrones watcher will get the joke haha. But of course I said yes! Then could barely watch the game, because I just kept staring at my ring and texting/calling everyone!
Our families live close to Stroudmoor so it was very convenient for both sides of the family. My brother and sister in law got married at the Stroudsmoor 5 years prior, and at their wedding Michael and I decided when we got married we would probably get married at the same place. We just loved how beautiful everything was and the surrounding areas around of each venue were breathtaking. It was our style and also close to home ... perfect. I am so happy we chose Stroudsmoor. Everyone is so helpful! I am a very indecisive person and I get stressed out easily so I loved having a planner. They told me what I needed to do, when it needed to by done by, and it forced me to make decisions and get stuff done. I would have never had such a beautiful wedding day with out them.
My wedding day was absolutely perfect! The weather was beautiful and I got to marry my very best friend. I almost tripped handing my flowers to my maid of honor at the isle, I shook Michael’s hand instead of Michael shaking my dad’s hand - all these small mess-ups were perfect, because that is who I am. I am a goof and I get so nervous that it becomes comical. Because of that, I think the ceremony was better. It showed who we are and our laughter told our guests who we are. I will never forget the feeling I had. There was so much love in one room! All the people that love and care about us were there; it was such a beautiful day. It was almost like our love for one another made our guests love one another. Everyone got along; everyone was dancing and having fun. So many nice words were shared between guests, family and friends. I felt so loved and It gave me piece of mind to know that no matter where life takes us, the people with us on our wedding day will always be there for us and will always have our backs. It was a wonderful and spiritual feeling. The whole day made me appreciate life and the little things. It pointed out the things in life that don’t matter in the end and highlighted the things that do matter.
