Built at the turn-of-the-century, the colonial architecture of Stroudsmoor's Main Inn is enhanced by pine clapboard and stone siding, natural slate floors and wainscoted walls. The inn houses the reception desk, two dining rooms, lounge and fifteen guest accommodations each with private bath.
The Breezeway connects the inn to the Natatorium. Here guests enjoy reading the paper and an early morning cup of coffee with a freshly baked treat. Inside the Natatorium, they may soak in the hot tub, swim, exercise in the fitness center.
The Stone Room, an intimate private dining room, is also housed in the inn. Private parties of 25 to 60 guests are arranged through the Event Office at Stroudsmoor. The main dining room offers a variety of menus including such culinary masterpieces as Vegetarian Stuffed Portabella Mushrooms with Black Peppercorn Cognac Sauce, Gnocchi and Pesto ala Genovese, Veal Saltimbocca with Marsala Wine and Sage Sauce or New Zealand Rack of Lamb with Sauce Jus-lie. And, for the grand finale, Frangelica Cappuccino accompanies Chocolate Truffle Cheesecake with Raspberry Coulis.
The Mahagony Lounge features dozens of comfortable wing chairs and overstuffed sofas, a 30' mahogany bar and fieldstone hearth. Guests can sip cocktails or coffee from noon to nine. A special lounge menu is offered for those looking for more casual dining. Wines, beer on tap and a variety of Stroudsmoor's most famous confections complete the offering of the Mahogany Lounge.
All told, the inn is 10,000 square feet of old-world charm and elegance. Not to mention, a great place to meet, eat and enjoy the company of good friends and family.
